Processing is carried out directly in the SolidWorks environment and directly according to the SolidWorks model. The results of the programmer’s work are saved in the same model of a SolidWorks part or assembly. This ensures full associativity of the model and toolpaths, which leads to automatic updating of all toolpaths when making model changes. When you add any technological data to the SolidWorks model, such as roughness designations, bases, surface tolerances, shape tolerances, dimensional tolerances, the programmer always has direct access to them, which makes it easy to choose the basis for the part’s layout on the machine and the selection of the necessary ensuring the specified quality of the tool part and cutting conditions. A part can be easily adapted to processing needs by, for example, eliminating geometry elements that are superfluous in terms of processing, or by recalculating the model’s executive dimensions in the middle of the tolerance field. In SolidWorks assembly mode, you can perform joint processing of several parts, program the processing of a series of parts, or simply completely simulate the entire real situation on the machine table – all the equipment, workpiece of any complexity, and so on – for the most complete consideration of the processing realities already at the very early stages program creation.
