LS-DYNA has built-in procedures for automatic rebuilding and smoothing of a finite element mesh during element degeneration — arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian grids (Arbitrary Lagrangian-Euleran), high-performance algorithms for solving contact problems, a wide range of materials models, user programming capabilities, and the Lagrangian Eulerian binding and calculation of multicomponent flows of compressible media on moving Eulerian grids.
