When creating a model block, Creo Expert Moldbase Extension automatically generates an assembly drawing, a specification, and drawings of slabs, taking into account the requirements of ESKD.
Mold components can be created directly in Creo Expert Moldbase Extension, or you can use mold components created in CreoTool Design.
Creo Expert Moldbase Extension has a specialized graphical interface with a schematic two-dimensional view of both ready-made model block designs and individual components. At the same time, you can create and use your own designs, components, types of injection molding machines used, enter in the database of your suppliers.
The choice of the main parameters of the mold components is carried out in a two-dimensional mode. If it is necessary to specify the placement parameters of a particular component, the designer refers to a three-dimensional structure. This approach significantly speeds up the mold development process.
As a rule, full-fledged three-dimensional models of the mold assembly with holes, grooves, etc. made in the plates, are formed automatically. In this case, all holes and grooves are dependent – when you delete the component for which these structural elements were made, they are also deleted. As the dimensions and locations of components change, these geometric constructs are automatically rebuilt.
Creo Expert Moldbase Extension automatically places fasteners, calculates the length of pushers and signs, and creates cuts along the part contour. To facilitate visualization, Creo Expert Moldbase Extension allows you to enable/disable the display of any components.
Creo Expert Moldbase Extension implements a mechanism for opening a mold using animation, with an analysis for the intersection of components. The following calculations are possible:
comparing the compression force of the machine and the pressure created inside the mold;
the force acting on the wedge during its movement (in the moving rod mechanism) at a given stroke;
wedge length;
angle of the inclined pusher;
delays (during double opening of the model block);
total design cost in the manufacture of the mold.
