Description of STM32CubeMX 6.14.1
STM32CubeMX 6.14.1 is a graphical tool that allows you to very easily configure STM32 microcontrollers and microprocessors, as well as generate the corresponding C initialization code for the Arm® Cortex® kernel core for the Arm® Cortex® kernel, through a step-by-step process.
The first step is to select either the STMicrolectronics STM32 microcontroller, a microprocessor or a development platform corresponding to the necessary set of peripherals, or an example running on a specific development platform.
For microprocessors, the second step allows you to configure GPIO and configure the watch for the entire system, as well as in an interactive way to assign peripherals either to the world of Arm® Cortex®-M or the world of Cortex®-A. Special utilities, such as configuration and DDR configuration, make it easier to start working with STM32 microprocessors. For the Cortex®-M core, the configuration includes additional steps similar to those described for microcontrollers.
For microcontrollers and microprocessor Arm® Cortex-M, the second step is to configure every necessary built-in software by means of spinning conflict resolution, watch-setting assistant, power consumption calculator and utilities, customizing peripherals (for example, GPI or USART) and intermediate software stacks (e.g., USB or TCP/IP).
Software and midfield software stacks can be enhanced by improved STM32Cube extension packages. STMicrolectronics or STMicrolectonics affiliate packages can be downloaded directly from a special package manager available to STM32CubeMX, and other packages can be installed from a local disk.
Moreover, the unique STM32CubeMX utility, STM32PackCreator, helps developers build their own advanced STM32Cube expansion packs.
Eventually, the user starts a generation corresponding to the selected configuration options. At this stage, the initialization C code for Arm® Cortex®-M is provided, ready to be used in several development environments, or a partial Linux® device tree for the Arm® Cortex®-A.
