This release is primarily aimed at adding new features and correcting registered customer defects – service requests (SR). The PADS VX.2.15 release presents the following new products, features and improvements.
HyperLynx AMS
HyperLynx AMS (former PADS AMS) includes the following updates in the PADDS VX.2.15 release.
PADDS AMS renamed HyperLynx AMS
The PADDS AMS simulator is renamed HyperLynx AMS. This name change is made only to better match the simulator with the family of analysis and verification tools in the Electronic Board Systems division at Siemens EDA. Now, when installing and using the tool in the menu and dialog boxes, you will see “HyperLynx AMS” rather than “PADS AMS”. Reorganized list of parameters in the dialog box of parameters selection
When confsing the analysis based on the sweep, the parameters selection dialog box helps select the parameters for change during the simulation. The names of the networks in the dialog box of choice of parameters are now organized hierarchically by the name of the component.
Removed assigned contacts from the list of contact comparison tools
When choosing a modeling model for the symbol, you need to make sure that the symbol contacts are correctly connected to the model ports. The contact matching tool in the dialog boxes of the master of models and symbols and editing the properties of the model helps in this comparison. In the VX.2.15 release, the contact matching tool has been updated, so after selecting the contact of the symbol for comparison, it is no longer displayed in the list of possible contacts for appointment.

• Simplified setting for DDR5/LPDDR5(X modeling only IBIS
DDRx
The graphical interface of the DDRx batch processing wizard has been improved to simplify the user’s work. Before the VX.2.15 version, the IBIS-AMI configuration was distributed across several pages and required careful selection of the controller/DRAM. Now in the VX.2.15 version of the IBIS-AMI models for the operation can be viewed and configured on one page of the wizard.
The DDRx batch processing craft now supports IBIS-AMI modeling of an unsboiled command bush/address bush for DDR5/LPDDR5(X). Before VX.2.15, this feature was only available for registered DIMM (RDIMM) modules. Now in VX.2.15 HyperLyx may include effects such as alignment of the Tx controller and trembling parameters/niper iBIS-AMI in the simulation of the command/address bus.
DDR5
For simulations, the DDRx batch processing wizard is now automatically replaced by AMI executable when the IBIS buffer model is detected. Before VX.2.15, this required manual editing of the text file of the IBIS model. Performing automatic replacement, the user saves time and nerves and can focus on moving towards the results of the simulation.
